Coleen Mills grew up in Shelton , Connecticut . She attended Sacred Heart University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Legal Administration in 1988. She then worked at Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder, a prominent personal injury firm in Bridgeport Connecticut  until 1994 when she began law school at the University of Connecticut School of Law . Since her graduation in 1997, Coleen has worked exclusively as a civil trial attorney in the Connecticut courts and has tried several cases to verdict. In addition to advocating for plaintiffs, Coleen also has extensive experience in representing the interests of defendants as the result of working for several years as staff counsel for Kemper Insurance Company and Safeco Insurance Company.
